RebelRoam receives FTE Europe Award as most innovative air travel startup
Startup Wise Guys alumni, Estonian IoT & Mobility startup RebelRoam has been recognised along with such big names as Lufthansa, Gatwick Airport, Finnair, Ryanair, AirAsia at this years FTE Europe Awards.
RebelRoam revolutionises the onboard Wi-Fi experience by drastically improving Wi-Fi quality without requiring airlines to add to or change their existing network infrastructure. They have been voted the winner of the FTE and JetBlue Technology Ventures Startup Competition, which attracted almost 50 global entries.
In times, when most startups chase funding, RebelRoam is an inspiring case of bootstrapping, reaching 150K eur MRR and generating enough profit to grow without any additional investment apart from the accelerator.

RebelRoam has graduated the 6th acceleration batch, and the strong team of 4 founders: Henri Ploom, Kaido Pähn, Tarvo Topolev, Magnus Rüütel was born with the help of VUNK hackathon (Telia Eesti innovation program run jointly with Startup Wise Guys). As of May 2018, RebelRoam is also working with EIT Digital to speed up their expansion across Europe’s transportation sectors.
